This initiative by the Coalition for Canadian Police Excellence aims to enhance police professionalism and establish a centre for police excellence within Canadian policing.
The Coalition for Canadian Police Excellence is proposing the establishment of the National Centre for Policing Excellence (NCPE).
C-CPE is a registered charity with members from across Canada. We were formed in 2021 to educate Canadians about the need for improved police education.
People who wish to be police officers apply to a policing service like the RCMP or the Edmonton Police Service.
If they qualify they enter a short training academy to learn essential skills. That's training.
Education however is about the knowledge that makes for better decision making and better interpersonal skills with people.
